6th Annual Duke Systems Biology Symposium

International Perspectives on Systems Biology

September 29, 2011

Speakers

We were delighted to have the following accomplished scientists visit us as guest speakers:

  • Boris Adryan, Cambridge Systems Biology Centre, University of Cambridge, UK
  • Brenda Andrews, Donnelly Centre, University of Toronto, Canada
  • Veronica Grieneisen, John Innes Center, BBSRC, Norwich, UK
  • Riitta Lahesmaa, Turku Centre for Biotechnology, University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University, Finland
  • Amy Schmid, Center for Systems Biology, Duke University, Durham, NC
  • James Sharpe, Centre for Genomic Regulation, EMBL/CRG Research Unit in Systems Biology, Barcelona, Spain
  • Uwe Ohler, Center for Systems Biology, Duke University, Durham, NC

Meals

Boxed lunches were provided during the lunch on the courtyard. Vegetarian options were available for those that expressed such a preference during registration. Following the conclusion of the symposium, a wine and cheese reception and poster session was held.

Posters

Attendees were welcome to present at the poster session at the end of the symposium. Please include your poster abstract when you register. Poster boards will be at least 43 in x 35 in.

Schedule

All talks took place in French Family Science Center (FFSC). The reception and poster session took place in the French Family Sciences Center Atrium. The closest garage for daytime parking is Parking Garage IV, between the student center (Bryan Center) and French (FFSC).
