Adding Clinic Encounters
This guide will cover how to add a clinic encounter in MAW3.
Adding Clinic Encounters
Once the patient has been registered and a new Clinical Trial report has been added, you can add encounters to the patients Clinical Trial record. Each doctor office or clinic visit should result in a new encounter which, in turn, will contain information relevant to the individual encounter (or clinic visit) such as blood samples, etc. To add a new encounter:
- If you just finished creating the Clinical Trial report for the first time, you should already be in the right place so skip to Step 3.
- The patient'
s Clinical Trial record has already been added to the system and you wish to add an additional encounter start here.
* In the "Report Selection" area of the screen select the Clinical Trial "Report Type" as seen here:
* In the "Reports Selection" area "- Select Report -" listbox select the existing clinical trial record you wish to open as seen here:
- In the "Navigation" area of the screen click on "Encounter Comments" (Figure 17) which will open the encounter creation/selection system in the "Main Window" (data entry form)
- To create a new encounter, press the
button. You will get a pop up window saying a new encounter has been added. Press "OK" to clear the window from the screen. The added encounter will now appear similar to the following (Figure 18): - To open the encounter so that the specifics of the encounter may be filled out, press the
expander box next to the new encounter in the list. This will open a new window (Figure 19). Fill out all relevant data for this encounter and press the 
button to save the data.
