Sample banking and processing services offered through the IGSP Biorepository are performed on a cost-recovery basis, and are determined in consultation with BR personnel upon assessment of project needs.
Ensuring sample integrity
Pricing has been determined to encourage banking of multiple small aliquots rather than fewer, larger samples, thereby reducing the need for future freeze-thaw cycles and preserving sample integrity.
5-year term
Standard banking costs are for up to a 5 year term including sample ingress and egress (round trip). Beyond 5 years, a minimal 'maintenance fee' may be charged to support ongoing maintainance of collections. Shipping or courier costs, if any, are additional.
Additional services
Additional services are available for sample processing, aliquoting, and allocation for analysis.
