Axon Genepix Scanner (Genepix 4000B)

  • Pricing
  • Use of the Axon Genepix Scanner for scanning microarrays. This is a charged instrument service, please refer to pricing.
  • The scanner is located in the hallway desk by the door of our facility. (2208B CIEMAS Building). The computer can be logged in with valid Duke NetID username/password. If you are a memeber of IGSP, drive "I" will be automatically mapped to your IGSP home directory.
  • First time users please email the following information to Zhengzheng Wei (zhengzheng.wei@duke.edu).

    FirstName, LastName, email, phone, fax, PI-FirstName, PI-LastName, Department, Affiliation [CancerCenter, ESHRC, NINDS, Toxigenomics, Duke-regular, non-Duke ], Duke Box#, Location
  • She will issue a scanner userid.
  • Online signup is required for using of this instrument. Click here for Axon Genepix Scanner Online Signup
  • Sign up times are only available from 8am - 5 pm daily. Please sign up for the amount of time you think you will need.
  • Estimate scanner time needed in 30 min increments. You may adjust this time after you finish scanning.

RT-PCR (ABI HT 7900)

  • Use of the ABI 7900 for Real-Time assays or plate reads. This is a charged instrument service - see the following link for current rates.
  • First time users please email the Heather Hemric (hhemric@duke.edu) to schedule a tutorial before using the machine.
  • Please include the following information:

    FirstName, LastName, email, phone, fax, PI-FirstName, PI-LastName, Department, Affiliation [CancerCenter, ESHRC, NINDS, Toxigenomics, Duke-regular, non-Duke ], Duke Box#, Location
  • She will issue a RT-PCR userid.

  • The RT-PCR machine is located in 2196AB CIEMAS Building.
  • The 96-well block is the default configuration. The 384-well block is also available but requires special scheduling.

Nanodrop Spectrophotometer (ND-1000)

  • Use of the Nanodrop for concentration check. This is a FREE instrument service.
  • The nanodrop is located in the hallway opposite the door of our facility. (2208B CIEMAS Building). The computer can be logged in with valid Duke NetID username/password.
  • Contact our lab members if you need assistance with the nanodrop instrument.
