We provide bioinformatics services to researchers in conjunction with the GCB Integrative Genomic Analysis Shared Resource. The initial consultation is free of charge. Please, do not hesitate to contact us to determine how we can help you. We offer four types of bioinformatics service:
- Do-it-yourself: Only accessible to Duke researchers, we have installed and are maintaining next-generation sequencing data analysis software on the Duke DSCR. Just add /opt/apps/sdg/bin to your path.
For those of you who require it, GCB has Computational Analysis Shared Resource available for infrastructure and data storage. Unfortunately we do not have sufficient capacity to keep your data on our servers more than one month after your data have been released.
- Tutorial: We can also provide a tutorial on analyzing next-generation sequencing data..
- A la carte: We can analyze your data for you.
We can also help you with more customized projects. This "A la carte" option is only available for researchers who produced their next-generation sequencing data produced with our Core Resource.
- Collaboration: It may not be practical to hire our service at a "per task" basis for large projects. Indeed, the nature of the analyses can sometime be difficult to asses and the cost of "per task" rapidly scales up with the project size. Our bioinformaticians are also available for more involved collaborations (i.e. percentage of effort in your grant proposal).
