My current and future research fall into two complimentary categories: computational biology and statistical inference.
Sayan Mukherjee is a member of the IGSP with a primary appointment in Statistical Science and secondary appointments in Computer Science and Mathematics. He has a PhD from MIT with a focus on machine learning and was a postdoc at the MIT/Harvard Broad Institute.
His research foci are (1) geometry and topology in probabilistic modeling, (2) statistical and computational biology, (3) modeling of massive data.
